ALEX FLOWER

Alex studied at Edinburgh and Bartlett School of Architecture UCL, she worked at Paxton Locher Architects, on projects such as The Jerwood Space, Soho Theatre, and many high end residential properties and developments for private Clients. With over 15 years of construction experience, Alex has run numerous projects for private and commercial clients in London and further afield. As well as being based in the London office, Alex heads Flower Michelin’s South of England office, based in Hampshire. Alex co-founded Flower Michelin in 2004.

CHANTAL MICHELIN

Founding Partner | BA (Hons), Dip.Arch, ARB, RIBA

Chantal studied at the Architectural Association London and Bartlett School of Architecture UCL. She subsequently worked at Paxton Locher Architects on high profile residential buildings and developments before helping form MOOArc in 1996. Chantal has worked on large Client portfolios of sites and properties in and around Central and East London and the City, including mixed use developments of commercial, private and affordable housing. Chantal co-founded Flower Michelin in 2004.


 

CHRIS WELLS

Partner | BA (Hons), Dip.Arch, ARB, RIBA

Chris studied at the Oxford School of Architecture and the University of Westminster. Having gained office experience at Falla Associates and Hetreed Ross, Chris has also spent time developing his construction knowledge first hand working on sites in the South of France, Wales, Bath and at our project - 15½ Consort Road. Chris joined Flower Michelin in 2006 and became a Partner in 2011. Chris now heads our Oxford office. His portfolio includes a wide variety of residential projects in Central London, Oxfordshire and further afield.

LYNNE GIBSON

Associate | BA (Hons), MArch, Dip.Arch, ARB




Lynne moved to London and joined Flower Michelin after completing her Part I and Part II studies at the Glasgow School of Art. Her final year thesis explored sustainable construction methods, with an in-depth research study into Cross Laminated Timber. Lynne has worked on a wide range of projects at Flower Michelin from a grade II listed house to feasibility studies for large scale developments. Outside of work Lynne, enjoys cooking, travelling and (occasionally) running.

 

ARCHNA PATEL

Associate | BA (Hons), MArch, Dip.Arch, ARB






Archna joined in 2015 after completing her Part I at Manchester School of Architecture, Part II at the University of Greenwich and Part III at the University of Westminster. Her final year thesis explored slapstick comedy in architecture: exceeding the boundaries of common sense and interrogating the serious nature of architectural theory. Archna has been involved in a wide range of projects at Flower Michelin and has worked across the RIBA work stages, from planning to construction detailing.

LUKE DRAPER

Architect | BA (Hons), MArch, Dip.Arch, ARB

Luke joined Flower Michelin in 2021 having achieved a distinction from the MArch programme at the Bartlett School of Architecture. Luke’s passion within Architecture is housing, an interest he has developed over his studies and time in practice. When designing, he finds great enjoyment in developing new spatial layouts, something he was able to explore in great depth within his masters thesis project, a scheme which explored a new method of spatial inhabitation based on our communal relationships. Outside of the office, Luke enjoys long walks exploring as much of London as he can.

 

KATE O’NEILL

Architect | BA (Hons), MArch, PGCert, ARB


Kate joined Flower Michelin at the beginning of 2020. She studied at the Welsh School of Architecture and qualified as an Architect in 2015. Prior to joining Flower Michelin Architects, she worked at TAS and Rock Townsend Architects primarily on residential projects in and around London. She has experience designing and detailing medium sized housing schemes, bespoke new build houses and high end renovations, while a recent self build project, a Cider Cabin in Devon, allowed her to explore her interests in the use of natural materials and joinery.

ELLIE CULLEN

Architectural Assistant | BA (Hons), MArch

Ellie joined Flower Michelin in 2022, after completing her studies at the Architectural Association achieving a MArch with Commendation. Her final year project focused on creating a prototype for instability to develop a new building typology for London, built to last the next 2000 years. Ellie has a keen interest in housing, having previously worked in residential projects in Devon, Hampshire, and London.  In her own time, Ellie continues her research at a smaller scale through furniture making.

 

REBECCA WELLER

Architectural Assistant | BA (Hons)

Rebecca joined us in July 2022, having graduated from her Part I at Westminster University. In her final year she received an award for her commitment to sustainable approaches and this is something she wishes to continue in practice. Rebecca has experience volunteering in Malaysian Borneo, working with a remote village community on a self-built Kindergarten project. Outside of Flower Michelin, she has a keen artistic interest and particularly enjoys painting.

BENJAMIN FRANKLIN

Architectural Assistant | BA (Hons)

Ben joined Flower Michelin after completing his Part I at Newcastle University. During his studies, Ben developed an appreciation for low-impact, high-quality design, with the notion of civic space being one of particular interest to him. Ben’s graduation project followed these themes, retrofitting an existing car park structure and demonstrating his advocacy for environmentally sustainable construction. Outside of the office, Ben enjoys cooking and spending time in nature.

 

GEORGE WATSON

Architectural Assistant | BA (Hons)





George joined Flower Michelin after completing his Part 1 at Newcastle University. During his studies he became particularly interested in an unfinished and active Architecture that welcomes reconstruction as the building and its users evolve. His final year project connected two neighbourhoods with an Arts Centre, encouraging participation and community through making. Outside of the office, George is often sketching and takes a particular interest in city life and what it means to inhabit.

EMMA HAFNER

Architectural Assistant | BA (Hons)




Emma joined Flower Michelin in Summer of 2023 after working a year in the industry and graduating from her Part I at the University of Westminster. Emma’s work to date has explored community, joy, wellbeing, and sustainability, which she hopes to carry over into practice. Her final project integrated these themes within a prototypical housing scheme. Alongside architecture, Emma loves experimenting with new creative ventures such as ceramics and woodwork. 

 

PATRICK CLARKSON

Architectural Assistant | BA (Hons)


Patrick joined Flower Michelin after completing his Part 1 studies at the Welsh School of Architecture, Cardiff University, where he was awarded a scholarship for his final mark. He is particularly interested in a local approach to design from material sourcing to local production and construction of architecture, celebrating the existing sense of place. His final project of his BSc explored the re-purposement of a police station on the Irish border into a map-making centre where lost histories and stories of the Irish landscape are documented and recovered in the Irish language. Outside of the office, Patrick enjoys live music, reading, & cycling.

JULIE CRILLY

Practice Manager




Julie has been our Practice Manager since 2010.  Her background of 15 years as a Professional Indemnity client handler/broker in the City (before having a break to have children) has given her a wealth of office experience that she brings to Flower Michelin.
